Kyle Pernula is a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) at Active Path Mental Health, serving patients at the Clackamas and Vancouver clinics. He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
At Active Path, Kyle provides transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), esketamine (Spravato), and medication management, offering comprehensive treatment options for patients facing depression and other mental health challenges.
His background includes service as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army and leadership of statewide initiatives for the Oregon National Guard, including the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and medical PPE distribution program. He also holds certification as an EMT.
Kyle’s approach to mental health care is practical, evidence-based, and individualized. He believes treatment works best when it’s tailored to each person’s history and goals, and he prioritizes clear communication, minimizing unnecessary medications, and using both therapy and interventional options to help patients regain function and quality of life.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, golfing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest’s food and outdoor scene.
