Insurance Made Simple, Care Made Possible

Active Path Mental Health is proud to be in-network with most commercial insurance plans, as well as Medicare, Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan / CareOregon), TRICARE, and TriWest.
Please note: To make the process easier, we offer a free phone consultation with our intake team. During this call, we’ll learn more about your needs and determine if you may be a good candidate for treatment options such as TMS, SPRAVATO®, therapy, or medication management. Afterward, our team will complete a verification of benefits with your insurance provider.

We confirm coverage before you begin treatment, so you won’t face unexpected costs. To schedule your free consultation or verify your insurance, contact our team directly at 503.832.4861.

Frequently Asked Questions

Insurance FAQs

01 Does Active Path accept my insurance?

Active Path is in-network with most major commercial insurance providers, Medicare, Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan / CareOregon), TRICARE, and TriWest. We accept these plans for TMS Therapy, SPRAVATO, and Medication Management services.

For telehealth therapy services, we accept Aetna, BC/BS, Oregon Health Plan / Care Oregon, Kaiser Permanente, Providence, UHC/Optum, and TriWest.

Most insurance plans cover TMS and SPRAVATO for treatment-resistant depression. Coverage for conditions like OCD or anxious depression may vary—our team verifies your benefits before treatment begins.
If your plan doesn’t cover certain services, we’ll review other options with you, including alternative treatments, payment plans, or out-of-network benefits.
Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for copays, coinsurance, or deductibles. We explain these details clearly upfront, so you won’t face unexpected bills.
It depends on your insurance plan. You will likely pay the same copay that you pay when you visit your PCP office. There will be a co-pay for each appointment.
Most insurance plans require a Prior Authorization for treatment. If you know you’re planning to switch insurance carriers, we’ll want to wait to request a Prior Authorization until your new plan is active.
This varies by insurance but the appointments are most often billed as primary care rather than specialty care.
We will submit a Prior Authorization request to insurance after the evaluation, but you are always welcome to reach out to insurance and advocate for yourself in addition.

We work with the following insurance plans:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem BC/BS
  • Cigna
  • Care Oregon
  • Healthshare of Oregon
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • MODA
  • Molina
  • PacificSource Health Plan
  • Premera BC/BS
  • Providence
  • Regence BC/BS
  • TriCare
  • TriWEST
  • United HealthCare

“I highly recommend TMS to anyone with depression. [Active Path Mental Health] took care of making sure I qualified for treatment, dealing with my insurance, and all the other things that needed to come together for me to receive treatment. If I was the one in charge of all that, my anxiety would have made it impossible.”
