Administration

Outreach Manager

We are looking for an experienced Outreach Manager who is responsible for educating regional Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), in the Puget Sound, on the benefits of TMS, building community healthcare relationships, and driving referrals to Active Path’s suite of services. At Active Path we believe in empowering hope in the lives of our patients, employees, and communities. Providing patient-centered, evidence-based, collaborative and sustainable mental health care for all.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mind-set, proven track record of success, and a strategic approach to territory management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Serving as the company point of contact for Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and mental health professionals in assigned territory.
  • Driving provider referrals to APMH clinics to meet or exceed forecasted goals. 
  • Identifying market growth opportunities and developing and implementing a strategic POA to achieve success.
  • Becoming an expert on our service lines and understanding the ideal patient profile.
  • Developing and delivering impactful presentations to HCPs and KOLs. 
  • Educating internal and external customers on TMS treatment and other company offerings. 
  • Engaging in conversations about clinical evidence and treatment efficacy, as appropriate.
  • Fostering relationships with internal and external customers to create value-added educational opportunities for patients, HCPs and key decision makers.
  • Staying on top of industry and market trends and communicating changes and opportunities to your team.
  • Attending company and industry meetings, trade shows and events, as needed. 
  • Effectively managing your administrative tasks, communication with referring providers, required training and expense reporting.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

 You will be successful, if:

  • You possess A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, required.
  • You have had a minimum of five (5) years of B2B outside sales experience.
  • You have had a minimum of three (3) years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience.
  • You have current relationships with local PCPs and mental health professionals, strongly preferred.
  • You have prior experience with CRM software, preferred.
  • A proven track record of top sales performance and the ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing contact with HCPs in office, and getting in front of decision makers.
  • Able to identify market opportunities, develop a strategic plan of action, and execute plans to meet or exceed referral goals.
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team setting.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Launch experience, preferred.
  • You are able to maintain a professional, clinical appearance and demeanor with patients.  Scrubs provided.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work in a high-demand, fast paced environment.
  • You are able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • You’re a self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to bring organizational skills to the clinical environment.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening and speaking, to reassure and guide patients.

Clinical

Mental Health Technician

Job Summary: This individual is a certified Medical Assistant who is responsible for administering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments to patients, under the direction of a mental healthcare Provider. Job Title: Mental Health Technician (MA)

Department: Operations

Reports To: Julee Englesman, Clinical Manager

FLSA Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Essential Functions:

  • Delivering TMS treatments according to protocols set forth by Provider.  Set up of the TMS machine and monitoring all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
  • Resolving issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout sessions.
  • Administering psychiatric rating scales and conducting patient assessments prior to treatment per APMH protocols.
  • Creating a supportive treatment environment and demonstrating compassion and empathy.
  • Recording session notes in EMR/EHR, collaborating with Providers as required.
  • Providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients in their daily treatments.
  • Communicating with our team of certified TMS Psychiatrists and other Providers who oversee patient treatment at  multiple clinic locations, when applicable.
  • Collaborating with Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) in the delivery of great care and customer service to our patients at the clinic level.  This will include, but is not limited to, rescheduling efforts, audits, and communicating with patients, operations members, and external resources.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in EMR/EHR recordkeeping, such as Tebra.
  • Prior experience in taking treatment notes, preferred.
  • The ability to maintain a professional, clinical appearance and demeanor with patients.  Scrubs provided.
  • The ablility to work in a high-demand, fast paced environment.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to bring organizational skills to the clinical environment.
  • The possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening and speaking, to reassure and guide patients.
  • The ability to demonstrate professionalism and the ability to maintain patient and clinic confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, healthcare administration, or related field, preferred.
  • Successful completion of TMS certification based on initial training, provided during the initial period of employment.
  • Experience working with patients in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working with patients who suffer from depression and anxiety, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly moving into different positions to accomplish required tasks.
  • Frequent operation of TMS medical devices.
  • Frequent light noise due to equipment, earplugs provided.
  • Occasional light work which may require moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Associate Mental Health Therapist

With the addition of a Supervised Associate Cohort, our Director of Psychotherapy , will provide guidance and supervision, allowing you to refine your craft.  At no cost to you, this allows you to obtain your full licensure through the free supervision of hours.

Physician Assistant

This individual is responsible for direct psychiatric patient care.  The ideal candidate is patient-oriented, enthusiastic about helping to lead a team of trained mental health technicians, and willing to learn and apply the latest TMS techniques. While prior Mental Health and TMS experience is a plus, we will provide all necessary training with appropriate clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards are met.  The successful candidate is passionate about mental health and would like to learn a newer treatment option, transcranial magnetic stimulation, from leaders in the field. Essential Functions:

  • Applying medical expertise by performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
  • Developing patient treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
  • Providing exceptional patient care through cultivating positive therapeutic relationships.
  • Utilizing patient feedback to monitor and continuously improve patient outcomes.
  • Utilizing the EHR to provide timely and accurate charting and billing in each encounter.
  • Collaborating with referring physicians and providers to provide timely updates on patient progress throughout treatment.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical staff to review treatment plans on a weekly basis.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in EHR/EMR recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with psychiatric terminology and medications.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • The ability to work in a dynamic, high-demand, fast-paced environment.
  • A demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to maintain patient and clinic confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Registration as a Physician Assistant (PA) with credentialing in Oregon and/or Washington.
  • Two years of behavioral health experience is preferred.
  • Two years of direct patient care, preferred.
  • Experience administering TMS, preferred.  Alternatively, successful completion of TMS certification based on initial training, provided during the initial period of employment.
